Fall, spring and summer are the best time to hike on the Eastover property and the October mountain. You can hike along Eastover trail, then cross over the walking bridge to October mountain trail along the foot hill or an all day hike along the ridge of the mountain. Return to Eastover on the north border New Lenox road. Wild forest, brooks, lake, wet land, beavers, or kayaking in the river from new Lenox road to woods pond next to the old Lenox train station, hike back from train station to Eastover property.
