Date fruits (dates) are oval-cylindrical, three-7 cm (1.2-two.eight in) long, and about an inch (2.five cm) in diameter, ranging from bright red to vibrant yellow in colour, depending on selection. The fruit of the palm tree, dates can be eaten fresh but are much more frequently dried and eaten as is, or they can be utilised to make smoothies or in stews where they add a wealthy sweetness.
