Table tennis and ping-pong would be the game's two most well known names, but in its early days it was called pom pom whif whaf, pim pam, parlor tennis, netto, along with game. Table tennis, or ping-pong since it is also known, is a game in Hong Kong and all of China.

Lee Ho-Ching and Ng Wing-nam are considered the leading players of Hong Kong. Ping-pong became an Olympic sport in the 1988 Seoul. The name invisibly stems from the sound the ball would create when it hit on the surface of the paddle.
