There's a new Kind of microwave toaster appearing in the Late 1980's that is more flexible and less expensive than its predecessor. The brand new products not only heat food in the oven, but they also keep leftovers in the freezer and also can be used at the table like serving accessories. Many are produced from low cost, lightweight stuff. https://journal.austms.org.au/ojs/index.php/Bulletin/user/viewPublicProfile/14845

These goods that do triple duty have different requirements Compared to their predecessors because they need to address storage requirements. Suppliers are making sure to provide watch via containers with tight fitting lids in the right assortment of sizes and shapes. Then too, the containers must be appealing enough for consumers to bring to the table.

Suppliers follow the demand for such cookware to the hurried Lifestyles of the families. They said consumers need their cookware to match the convenience of microwave cooking. The new type of cookware is a time saver, so decreasing to a single measure the standard three step process of cooking, serving, and storing meals. "I think what's happening now is that consumers are looking for a product that does everything,' said Mike Chapman, group product manager at Rubbermaid, pointing out the line of differentiation between microwave cookware and food storage is blurring.

Actually, the new segment has attracted the interest of Businesses From the microwave cookwareand food storage fields.

From the microwave cookware rankings, suppliers Such as Rubbermaid, Anchor Hocking, Nordic Ware, Litton and Corning have jumped on this section and some are planning additional product development for this season. From the food storage conclusion, companies like Eagle Affiliates and Sterilite Corp.. Have awakened successes. Sterilite, for one, said it hopes to see 30 per cent growth from the line of multi usage containers this season. Eagle said it'll show new products later in the year.

Other providers of Conventional microwave cookware, recognizing the Significance of cookware versatility to microwave oven users, have taken to supplying storage lids, in addition to cooking lids, using their ovens.

 David Stone, Marketing manager, Sterilite

"We've always thought that's where the possibility is. When We went into the company in 1984, we believed that such multi usage containers were really the ideal choice, taking into consideration that the majority of microwave ovens have been used for reheating and defrosting leftovers. We first came out using five rectangles. More recently, we have added round containers, and with some specs that are smaller, we are beginning to reach the single serve market. The class that we are in is a strong group and it continues to grow. I'd say we are looking for roughly 30 percent growth this season.'

Wally Siegel, Vice president, Litton Microwave Cooking Products

"First of all, we addressed the storage part of this Marketplace Roughly a year and a half ago with a lineup named Store'N Cook. We had four SKUs. We followed that effort with Show Offs, which included yet another attribute serving on the table. Obviouslywe see storage, cooking and serving as a significant direction. I believe that this is something which's here today. We surely would establish an extension of Display Offs. It seems to be an area that we'd expand in some point in time'

Mike Chapman, Group product manager, Rubbermaid

"The storage Company and microwave toaster are coming together. I think what's happening now is consumers are on the lookout for a product that does everything. I believe our Servin's Savers lineup is an ideal solution for microwave reheating. We are in the process of changing the packaging on the products to include a statement stating they's microwave reheatable. Our Heatables food containers and cookware also nibble at other segments of the enterprise. Heatables are a little more durable and can handle higher temperatures compared to Servin's Savers. A Heatables seven piece set has cooking claws as well as storage lids. We are going to be expanding in food storage in addition to microwave cookwarethis year.'

 Clarence Arpin, President, Endura

"Our products are made of fiberglass. They are the Top of the rung, price wise, of microwave solutions. What we have done to address storage is to supply separate freezer safe storage compartment together with our cookware. I believe this is how it should be so the individual does not have to spend the food and set it into a different container to keep it. All they need to do is alter lids. https://ifgoiano.edu.br/periodicos/index.php/multiscience/user/viewPublicProfile/58013

"We believe storage is also an integral part of the Microwave cookware. We think the cooking piece and storage bit must be one item. As we build new things, we're building them using this attribute. From 30 items, we've got about half with storage capacity. That's because a few were designed prior to last year.'

 Harry Fishman, President, Eagle Affiliates

"Last year we included a number of food containers which can go From freezer into the oven into our lineup. We only had 10 shapes and now we've got 15. We'll also be coming out with eight to 10 additional items within the upcoming few months at our Shop'N Serve line, which is designed to go from freezer to oven to table. Both lines have been very successful for all of us. There doesn't seem to be a stop to it. They seem to fill a consumer need. We had had only four things from Store'N Serve and we decided we had more variety of shapes. The four Store'N Serve things last year produced unit sales nearly equal to the 10 food container things.'

Lynne Recktenwald, Product manager for Pyrex, Storage Plus, Corning Glass Works

"In terms of this part of the Marketplace, I would think it has to Be a powerful segment because of the amount of re heating that's done from the microwave. Multi utilize goods make sense for the lifestyles. We introduced Storage Plus due to that. The goods are made of clear glass and are completely versatile for keeping heat or serving food. Individuals are just far more willing to function in glass. As a storage container, the item is a superior quality since it doesn't blot, retain odors, and it's completely see through. The lineup has 12 SKUs in it. We are going to be taking a look at line extensions in the future.'

Dave Goleski, Vice president, national sales director, Microwave Products, Nordic Ware

"A great deal of the microwave cookware business today Is moving toward storage items rather than traditional microwave cookware. We chose a great long look at the wide cross section of storage accessories out on the market and found that a number of these goods go after the low cost point. We just didn't need that part of the business. What we've attempted to do is put together an upscale field of storage and serving goods in the main and mauve colors.

"At this time, we've got three of these storage products in The manufacturing stage and several more in the plan stage. From the close of the year, we'll be completely into that Luxurious derivative. We have two of the products prepared for shipment today. We'll have three different sizes, each offered in stock at different price points. The lowest price stage, after exemptions, will be $1.99.'

Bob Zarling, Senior vice president, sales and Advertising, Regal Ware

"We felt that goods that may go out of the Freezer to the microwave oven were significant to microwaving. We have experienced casseroles and split dishes with storage handles in the Imperial and Regal Ware lines. I think we might be heading out a little more directly to the storage segment with Cook & Saveour cheapest priced entry . Perhaps that's just because of the development of the market. I think the ancient cookware has been committed to be cooked in. Now, with the saturation of microwave ovens into homes, we have suddenly had another need to meet. If they have an oven, among those things people seem to want to do is to re heat food.'

 Harry Roehm, President, Tara

"Approximately eight of the items that we have ever needed, for Instance casseroles and sectional plates, have consistently had storage addresses for freezing. We have not designed any square contours for storage. We decided it'd be more suitable to provide cook, freeze, and serve capacities in exactly the exact identical container. In that way, we've consistently had storage capability in a full number of sizes. We do worry the objective of the goods on the packaging. If we had a distinctive, better idea for the segment concerning an added feature that perhaps isn't accessible we certainly would pursue it.'

 Al Krebel, President, Farberware

"The cookware we introduced May be utilized for both cooking and storing. The casseroles not only arrive with hard handles, but also have vinyl covers for storage. We are addressing the market at higher price points compared to most other businesses. Incorporating the storage attribute was a part of this app from the very start. It simply seemed to us to become a part of the convenience of working with a microwave oven. We say it right about the package that it includes storage covers.'

Gary Reifeiss, Vice president of marketing, Club Products

"There are two areas where consumers use Microwave ovens. Either in warming up food, in which case they are looking for storage containers, or when they really need to cook something. In my view, there is always going to be equally niches. Though we've recognized the huge demands for storage type containers, that which we've done is taken that concept a step farther. We have developed Zappers a lineup of toaster and storage containers. They have lids and are leak proof. We have five or six lines within our permanent microwave cookware which have such dual uses. They have that versatility to put away food.'

 David Sabin, President, Sevko

"Our Heatware storage containers represent the largest part Of the microwave business. Obviously, that entire line has functioned very well since the products can be obtained out of the freezer to the microwaveand from the microwave back into the freezer. It was a standard. I believe right now we've got 18 items online. We did expand with an additional five goods in 1986. We have been very successful in the category. We are seeing an awful lot of need for sets.' https://gitlab.kitware.com/snippets/386

Sue Helmreich, Microwave marketing Coordinator, Anchor Hocking

"There's been an increased requirement for freezer to oven Products just because of their hurried lifestyle Americans are still now living now. The Individual who is performing the cooking can be working full time. As a result, they Are doing an enormous quantity of strategy ahead cooking. We see storage type Products as a growing market. We are considering some choices in storage that Have not been declared yet. We have made prototypes of thoughts, and we are doing Extensive buyer and customer research to see whether the ideas we've been on Monitor'
