Author Guidelines

For authors who wish to publish scientific articles in the JETLe (Journal of English Language Teaching and Learning), should follow the guidelines of writing that can be downloaded below:

General

  1. Paper must be original, never published in other publication or in deep review process in other publications (The Attached Statement) proceeding included.
  2. Manuscript should be written in Indonesia or English and be submitted online via http://ejournal.uin-malang.ac.id/index.php/jetle/index. Author must register or login in order to make submission.
  3. The page margins are 2.5 cm left, 2 cm for Right, Bottom, and Top.  Margins should be Fully Justified for main text. If you are using a Mac, please be aware that these settings may be adjusted in unexpected ways.
  4.  The paper should include a minimum of 7 pages and maximum 16 pages of text, unless there is an attachment, maximum tolerance of 20 pages with single spaced, and justify.
  5. Using Book Antiqua Font 12 pt and Sakkal Majjala 14 if there Arabic contents.
  6. The references of the article are in the form of journals and non-journals which are published in the last 10 years.
  7. Using Mic. Office 2013 or 2016 / open Office with the existence  RTF not PDF

Manuscript Contents

  1. Title should be less then 15 words, title case, capitals, centered, bold.
  2. Author name without title, include institution, and email
  3. The abstract’s length should be a minimum of 150 words and a maximum of 300 words; it should be confined within a single paragraph and contains neither pictures or tables.
  4. Keywords contain three to five words/phrases separated by coma (;)
  5. Systematics guidelines: Title, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Discussion, Closing, and References. In addition to the results of research, adjust to the author format.
  6. The Citation and Reference list uses the APA 6th format. it is recommended to use a reference application such as Zotero, Mandeley, Endnote, etc.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
