Author Guidelines

For authors who wish to publish scientific articles in the Journal of English Language Teaching and Learning(JETLE), should follow the guidelines of writing that can be downloaded below:

AA. General Requirements

The minimum standard requirements of Journal of English Language Teaching and Learning must follow rules below. 

  1. Paper must be original, never published in other publication or in deep review process in other publications (The Attached Statement) proceeding included.
  2. Manuscript should be written in English and be submitted online via http://ejournal.uin-malang.ac.id/index.php/jetle/index. Author must register or login in order to make submission.
  3. The manuscript should be written in 1,15 space using essay style academic English on A4 paper (with 3 cm from all margins) in Microsoft Word program (.doc, .docx, or .rtf), in size 11 of Times New Roman
  4. The paper should include a minimum of  6 pages and maximum 16 pages of text, unless there is an attachment, maximum tolerance of 20 pages with single spaced, and justify.
  5. Use of a tool such as Mendeley or Zotero for reference management and formatting, and choose APA 6th  style.
  6. Make sure that your paper is prepared using the JETLe paper template.
  1. The references of the article are in the form of journals and non-journals which are published in the last 10 years

B. Structure of The Manuscript

The manuscript must be prepared and suggested to present the following structure.

  1. Title. The title of a paper is maximum of 14 words, without acronym or abbreviation.
  2. Abstract. The Abstract has maximum 200 WORDSNo citation; State in the abstract a primary objectiveresearch designmethodologyresults, and conclusion.
  3. Keyword : The author should also provide 3 – 5 keywords underneath the abstract.
  4. Section structure. Authors are suggested to present their articles in the section structure: Introduction - Method - Results and Discussion – Conclusion.
  5. References. The main references are primary sources (international proceeding and journals).

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
