JOURNAL DESCRIPTION
TAMADDUN is a scholarly journal publishing fresh and original thoughts and researches pertaining to the studies of Islamic thought, Islamic law, Islamic philosophy, and other areas related to Islamic studies. It is a media for Muslim scholars whose objectives are to share and discuss their opinions, thoughts, and researches with each other and to make Islamic values and teachings become parts of the solutions for contemporary problems. TAMADDUN is published twice per year in June and December by the Postgraduate Program of Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University, Malang.

The primary criterion for publication in the journal is the significance of the contribution an article makes to the literature in the business area, i.e., the significance of the contribution and the rigor of the analysis and the presentation of the paper. The acceptance decision is made based upon an independent review process that provides critically constructive and prompt evaluations of submitted manuscripts.

AUDIENCE
The primary, but not exclusive, audience is academicians, postgraduate students, and other people interested in Islamic research.

As part of this process, authors are encouraged to make their data available for use by others in extending or replicating the results reported in their articles. The authors of articles that report data-dependent results should footnote the status of the data’s availability and, when pertinent, this should be accompanied by information on how the data may be obtained.
