We would like to inform you that our journal is currently experiencing a significantly high volume of submissions. This reflects the growing interest and trust in our publication, for which we are sincerely grateful.

Due to this situation, there will be an adjustment to our publication schedule for newly submitted manuscripts. Submissions from authors based in Indonesia are currently projected for publication in the 2028 issue cycle. Meanwhile, submissions from overseas authors are projected for publication in the 2027 issue cycle.

Please note that all manuscripts will continue to undergo our standard editorial and peer-review processes to ensure the quality and integrity of published works.

As the Journal of Islamic Architecture continues to strengthen its scientific standards and global visibility, we are refining our editorial screening process.

Beginning in April 2026, manuscripts will undergo enhanced initial assessment focusing on novelty, methodological robustness, contemporary literature engagement, and broader scientific relevance.

Studies that are primarily descriptive, limited in scope, or lacking sufficient analytical rigor may not be sent for external peer review.
