Author Guidelines
AUTHOR GUIDELINE
Article manuscript is a result of research or literature study that never published before elsewhere. The article can be written in Indonesia and English with some components by Arial Narrow 12, single spacing, one column.
Title
Title is written concisely and informative; author (no title); address and email of corresponding. See more on the template.
Abstract
Abstract is written concisely and clearly in Bahasa Indonesia and English with 150-200 words if the manuscript is written in Bahasa Indonesia or only in English if the manuscript is written in English ,
Keyword
Keyword is chosen carefully to make it easier in searching with min. 3 words.
Introduction
Introduction presented briefly and clearly information concerning background, literature review, and aim/purpose of the research. This part should be written using Arial Narrow 12. Between the first sentence and the subtitle is given 6 pt spacing. Then, between the last sentence and the next subtitle is one space. Using in text citing with style IEEE. It is not necessary to mention an author's name, pages used, or date of publication in the in-text citation. Instead, refer to the source with a number in a square bracket, e.g. [1], that will then correspond to the full citation in your reference list. When citing multiple sources at once, the preferred method is to list each number separately, in its own brackets, using a comma or dash bteween numbers, as such: [1], [3], [5] or [1] - [5]
Materials and Methods
The materials must be written completely with the brand and its purity (quality), for example H2SO4 37% (Merck). The materials that are written is the main ingredients. The equipment is written in this section only contains major tool with the brand, for example electric Furnace (Carbolite). This part should be written by Arial Narrow 12.
Result and Discussion
Result and discussion must be written by Arial Narrow 12. In this part contains result of research and scientific discussion. The result of research and must be supported by sufficient data. Result and discussion be presented continuously start from main data until supporting data and completed with discussion. Furthermore, it should be explained also in comparison with the results of other researchers about the same topic. The results of the research and findings must be able to answer the research hypotheses in the introduction. Unit of measurement used should follow the international system.
Conclusion
Conclusion describes the answer of the purpose research and should be explained clearly. In the end conclusion, it can be added a suggestion. The suggestion contains recommendation or advices for next research.
Acknoweldgement (if any)
Acknowledgments stated to the grant source and the person to whom the grant was given. Acknowledgment can also be addressed to person who helps the research.
References
All references must be written in the list of references. The reference is written using reference manager in Ms. Word or using Mendeley/Zotero based on IEEE style.
[1] All reference is written in order from the first time it cited
[2] Journal : All authors (last name, initial for first name/middle name, between authors separates with comma), Journal name (full, italic), vol. (number, if any), no. (number, if any), pp. (page), month abbreviation, Year.
[3] Books: All authors (last name, initial for first name/middle name, between authors separates with comma), Book Tittle, Edition, Vol. (if any), City of publisher: Publisher, Year.
[4] Chapter books: All authors (last name, initial for first name/middle name, between authors separates with comma), “Chapter Tittle”, In Book Tittle, Editor’s name (same rule as author), City of publisher: Publisher, Year, pp. (page)
[5] Unpublished research result such as MinorThesis/Thesis/Dissertation: Author, “Tittle”, Minorthesis/thesis/ Ph.D. dissertation, Name of institution/department/faculty, name of university/institute, city of institution, Year.

Writing intructions
Some additions of writing instructions are (a) maximum pages of article 20; (b) paper size A4 (210 x 297 mm); (c) format margin: top 3 cm, bottom 2 cm, inside 3 cm, outside 2 cm; and (d) font Arial Narrow 12 pt with single line spasing, one column
Figure and Table
Figure. Figure caption is put in the bottom of figures, 12 pt after paragraph, center. Graphic and scheme is included as figure. The figure must be clear and high resolution (black-white - grayscale) but possible to put a color figure if it impossible to turn it into BW or grayscale. The author can sent the graph or data of the scheme separately to allow the layout editor to reproduce it well when printed out. Where possible, place figure side by side using borderless table and label it clearly by (a), (b) etc with a single figure caption.
Table. Table caption is put on the top of tables with single spacing, center and 12 pt from last paragraph. The table is placed on 4 pt after table caption and the content is written by Arial Narrow 11 and center. Notes (If any) were written using Arial Narrow 11, single spacing, align left and 4 pt after the table. The next paragraph is written 12 pt after the table notes.
Instruction of article manuscript submission via online
- Submit article manuscript via online submission system in E-Journal ALCHEMY: Journal of Chemistry Portal (http://ejournal.uin-malang.ac.id/index.php/Kimia).
- Register as author (tick role as author) in "Register" or http://journal.uin-malang.ac.id/index.php/Kimia.
- Login as author and click "New Submission". There are 5 steps i.e. (1) Start, (2) Upload Submission, (3) Enter Metadata, (4) Upload Supplementary Files and (5) Confirmation.
- In the first step "Start", choose Jurnal Section (Full Article), tick all of checklist.
- Second step "Upload Submission", upload file of article manuscript in Microsfot word.
- Third step "Enter metadata", input all of the author data and its affiliation, article title, abstract and indexing keywords.
- Fourth step "Upload Supplementary Files", author is allowed to add other files (if any).
- Fifth step "Confirmation", click "Finish Submission", if all of the data is complete.
- If there is difficultness, author could ask directly to Editorial of ALCHEMY: Journal of Chemistry by email (alchemy@uin-malang.ac.id).
Article Publication
Arctile is written in Microsoft word and submitted via online. Reviewing process is conducted by the Editorial Board. The editor can reject the article if it is not relevant with chemistry, not up to date, or has been published before. Editor is not responsible for article content and only have a right to make grammar improvement in each manuscript.
Author Fee (Article Processing Charge - APC)Started from the manuscript submission on
October 2022, Author(s)
should pay an Article Processing Charge (APC) of Rp. 250.000,- per article, once the manuscript was accepted. An invoice will be sent to the Authors who their article was accepted. Please be noted that the payment of APC can be proceeded by Online (Paypal or Credit Card) or via bank transfer which will be informed to Corresponding Author together with the invoice. The accepted articles will not be published until the APC was paid by Author(s). The APC will be used for maintain the DOI registration and the full-text PDF articles production cost.
