Author Guidelines
1. General
El-Hayah accepts submissions of scientific work in the form of full papers or original and developmental research. Full papers are unpublished research reports, and the manuscript should be 6–15 pages long, including tables and figures. If the manuscript consists of 10 pages or fewer, it will be included in the short communication section. If it exceeds 30 pages, it will be subject to an additional fee.
2. Manuscript Template
The manuscript template can be downloaded from [here].
3. Submission of Paper
Papers can be submitted directly through the OJS system or sent by email or other reliable delivery methods to the editor. The cover letter should specify the scientific field of the paper to facilitate the editor’s assignment process.
4. Qualifying Paper
Papers must be written in English. All manuscripts will be edited by a team of editors appointed by the Editorial Board. The use of data or figures that have been previously published is the responsibility of the author, and the supporting evidence should be submitted along with the manuscript. Scientific names must follow standard nomenclature rules. Terms and names derived from a language other than that used in the manuscript must be in italics (or underlined if italics are unavailable).
Manuscripts
Manuscripts must be typed in two columns on one side of A4 paper with margins of 2.5 cm on all edges, using Times New Roman, font size 12. The title should be centered and written in Times New Roman 14 pt bold. Each page should be numbered. The use of footnotes in the text should be avoided.
Manuscript Organization
Title
The title should be concise and clear, no more than 20 words. Below the title, write the author’s name(s) and postal address for correspondence. If the authors have different addresses, they must be indicated (e.g., with 1 or 2), and each number must correspond to the author’s institution.
Abstract
The abstract should state the purpose and rationale of the study, materials and methods, and the main results, written in English (200–250 words). Keywords are written after the abstract, separated by three spaces from the end of the abstract.
Introduction
The introduction should provide the background and rationale of the study and explain why the research was conducted. A review of relevant literature should be concise and focused.
Materials and Methods
This section should contain sufficient detail to allow others to replicate the study. Materials, including their origin, quantity, quality, and strain varieties (if any), as well as methods of work and data analysis, should be described clearly and concisely. Modifications of published methods should be cited with explanations of the changes made. When using statistical tests, indicate the method (e.g., RCBD or factorial design), variables, and references.
Results
Present research or experimental results in tables or figures with captions, without interpretation or discussion. The results of statistical tests should be presented in tables showing significance levels and may include test statistics (e.g., F-test, chi-square, etc.) when necessary.
Discussion
The discussion should not repeat the results. It should include concise and important statements of the findings, validation of observations, comparisons with previous studies, and logical reasoning leading to conclusions.
References
The references listed should include only sources cited in the manuscript. Authors are encouraged to use bibliography management software such as Mendeley, EndNote, or Zotero to standardize reference styles and avoid typing errors or duplication. At least 80% of the cited sources should be primary references, such as journal articles, conference proceedings, or research reports published within the last five years. References should follow the IEEE referencing style.
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
- The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
- If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
