Author Guidelines

Articles in the Journal of Computing and Data Science should be written in English based on standard academic writing. The article can also be communication, review and original new concepts on those related topics. Article written on format A4 paper size, times new roman 10, single space with normal margin, and maximum 10 pages. Manuscript written under following guideline:

Title, using bold and capital, fonts times new roman 14, align center and single space

Author, only original name without academic degree, font times new roman 12, single space following with affiliation in second line with affiliation

Abstract,This abstract section written both in English and Indonesia and should be typed in Italic font and font size of 10 pt and number of words of 150-200. Special for the abstract section, please use left margin of 2,5 cm, top margin of 3,0 cm, right and bottom margins of 2,0 cm. The single spacing should be used between lines in this article. If article is written in Indonesian, the abstract should be typed in Indonesian and English. Meanwhile, if article is written in English, the abstract should be typed in English and Indonesian. The abstract should be typed as concise as possible and should be composed of: problem statement, method, scientific finding results, and short conclusion. The abstract should only be typed in one paragraph and one-column format. (10pt Normal Italic)

1.       INTRODUCTION

Articles can be written in Indonesian or English with a maximum of 10 pages of pages including images and tables. Manuscript manuscripts should be written as per the template of this article in printed form. The article should be written with A4 (210 x 297 mm) writing field size and with a 25 mm left margin format, right margin of 20 mm, lower margin of 20 mm, and a 30 mm upper margin. The manuscript should be written with Times New Roman font type with 10 pt font size (excluding article title, author's name and abstract title), spaced one space, and in two-column format (except the title of the article, author's name, and abstract). The distance between columns is 10 mm.
Foreign words or terms are used Italic. We recommend avoiding the use of foreign terms for Indonesian language articles.

 2.       MATERIAL AND METHOD

The materials and methods contain the main ingredients used in the research and the methods used in problem solving including analytical methods. The main tool set should be presented in this section along with the caption. The picture caption is placed into a part of the image title (figure caption) instead of being part of the image. The methods used in the completion of the study are listed in this section.

3.       RESULTS AND DISCUSSION

Results and discussion contain the findings of research and discussion scientifically. Write down the scientific findings obtained from the results of research that has been done but must be supported by adequate data. The scientific findings referred to here are not the results of the research data obtained. The scientific findings should be explained scientifically include: What scientific findings are obtained? Why did it happen? Why is the trend of such variables? All such questions should be explained scientifically, not only descriptively, if necessary supported by sufficient scientific basic phenomena. In addition, it should also be compared to the results of other researchers who are almost the same topic. The results of research and findings should be able to answer the research hypothesis in the introduction.

4.       CONCLUSION

The conclusions illustrate the answer of the hypothesis or research objectives or scientific findings obtained. The conclusion does not contain a loop of results and discussion, but rather a summary of the findings as expected in the objective or hypothesis.

5.       REFERENCE

All references referred to in the article text must be registered in the References section. References should contain reference libraries originating from primary sources (scientific journals and totaling at least 5 of the entire bibliography) published in the last 10 (ten) years. Each article contains at least 10 bibliography. Referral writing in the article text and bibliography is required by the Mendeley reference management application program in accordance with the IEEE 2006 format (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers). Here is an example of a list of IEEE format libraries using the Mendeley app

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

If the article was jointly prepared by more than one author, any authors submitting the manuscript warrants that he/she has been authorized by all co-authors to be agreed on this copyright and license notice (agreement) on their behalf, and agrees to inform his/her co-authors of the terms of this policy. JODA will not be held liable for anything that may arise due to the author(s) internal dispute. JODA will only communicate with the corresponding author.

6. Royalties

Being an open accessed journal and disseminating articles for free under the Creative Commons license term mentioned, author(s) aware that JODA entitles the author(s) to no royalties or other fees. 

7. Miscellaneous

JODA will publish the article (or have it published) in the journal if the article’s editorial process is successfully completed. JODA's editors may modify the article to a style of punctuation, spelling, capitalization, referencing, and usage that deems appropriate. The author acknowledges that the article may be published so that it will be publicly accessible and such access will be free of charge for the readers as mentioned in point 3.
