PENGARUH FAKTOR DEMOGRAFI TERHADAP ADOPSI ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE DALAM PENULISAN KARYA ILMIAH: STUDI KOMPARATIF JENJANG PENDIDIKAN, GENERASI, DAN GENDER
Abstract
Kecerdasan buatan (Artificial Intelligence/AI) telah menjadi bagian integral dalam dunia akademik, menawarkan peningkatan efisiensi dan kualitas penulisan karya ilmiah. Meskipun demikian, adopsi AI menimbulkan tantangan terkait etika, keakuratan, dan ketergantungan teknologi. Di Indonesia, terdapat kesenjangan penelitian mengenai pengaruh faktor demografi terhadap pola adopsi AI dalam penulisan karya ilmiah, khususnya berdasarkan jenjang pendidikan, generasi, dan gender. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis perbedaan pola penggunaan AI dalam penulisan karya ilmiah berdasarkan faktor demografi, meliputi jenjang pendidikan (S1, S2, S3), generasi (X, Y, Z), dan gender. Penelitian kualitatif ini mengumpulkan data melalui wawancara mendalam terhadap 15 informan di Perpustakaan Universitas Brawijaya pada Juni 2024, terdiri dari instruktur pelatihan AI, mahasiswa berbagai jenjang, dan staf perpustakaan. Transkrip wawancara dianalisis menggunakan NVivo 14 dengan teknik koding in vivo, difokuskan pada lima kategori: manfaat, platform, fitur, kendala, dan solusi penggunaan AI. Data disajikan dalam 16 matriks crosstab dan visualisasi heatmap. Temuan menunjukkan transformasi kebutuhan fitur AI dari eksploratif (S1) menuju aplikatif (S3). Mahasiswa S1 memprioritaskan akses informasi (34,48%), sedangkan S3 lebih membutuhkan bantuan penulisan (35,59%) dan penerjemahan (26,27%). Generasi Z memiliki kebutuhan paling beragam namun menghadapi kendala ketergantungan AI (27,76%), sementara Generasi X fokus pada optimalisasi penggunaan (91,18%). Berdasarkan gender, laki-laki lebih membutuhkan fitur analisis (34,45%), sedangkan perempuan memprioritaskan akses informasi (34,81%). Adopsi AI dalam penulisan karya ilmiah tidak bersifat homogen, melainkan dibentuk oleh interaksi kompleks antara jenjang pendidikan, generasi, dan gender. Temuan ini mengimplikasikan perlunya pendekatan personal dalam pengembangan alat AI akademik. Penelitian selanjutnya disarankan memperluas sampel dan menginvestigasi faktor lain seperti disiplin ilmu dan latar belakang budaya.
