Ketika Iman Bertemu Inovasi: Islam di Tengah Revolusi Teknologi
Abstract
This research aims to analyze the relationship between Islam and technology in the context of the digital revolution through a Systematic Literature Network Analysis (SLNA) approach. This study integrates a systematic literature review and bibliometric analysis to identify research trends, intellectual structures, and conceptual developments in Islamic and technology studies. Data were obtained from the Scopus database with a publication range of 2015–2025 using the TITLE-ABS-KEY search syntax. Of the 262 articles identified, 39 articles were selected using the PRISMA procedure for further analysis. The research results show that the relationship between Islam and technology is dynamic and increasingly complex, marked by the increase in publications in the last decade. Technology plays a significant role as a medium for da'wah, a means of Islamic education, and a space for forming religious identity in the digital era. On the other hand, technological developments also raise ethical challenges, especially regarding religious authority, the validity of information, and the social impact of digitalization. Thematic analysis identified several main clusters, namely digital da'wah, technology ethics in Islam, technology-based Islamic education, and social transformation of Muslims. This research confirms that technology is not neutral, but is influenced by the values that underlie its use. Therefore, integration between faith and technological innovation requires an ethical framework based on Islamic values, such as maqashid al-shariah, to ensure that technological developments provide benefits for humanity. This study makes a theoretical contribution to the development of contemporary Islamic studies and offers an integrative perspective in understanding the relationship between religion and technology in the digital era.
