Author Guidelines

1. General Author Guidelines

  1. All manuscripts must be original, have not been published elsewhere, and are not under consideration for publication in another journal.
  2. Manuscripts are submitted online through the journal’s OJS system. Authors must register as Author before submission.
  3. Manuscripts should follow the official paper template. Please download the template before preparing your paper:
    • Download Paper Template — [https://s.id/templateJIE]
  4. This journal applies open access and all articles are published under the license Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 (CC BY-SA 4.0).
  5. The journal uses a double-blind peer review system. Editors will conduct an initial screening; only suitable manuscripts will be sent to independent reviewers.
  6. Authors are expected to submit revisions promptly. Revised papers returned more than 3 months after the request will be treated as a new submission.
  7. Each manuscript may list a maximum of five (5) authors. Please indicate one corresponding author with an active email.

2. Paper Organization (summary)

The manuscript should generally follow this order:
A. Title — concise, specific, informative (maximum 15 words).
B. Authors — full names, affiliations, institutional addresses, corresponding author’s email.
C. Abstract (English) — 150–250 words; summarize objectives, methods, and main findings.
D. Keywords — 3–5 keywords separated by semicolons.
E. ABSTRAK (Indonesian) — Indonesian version of the abstract (150–250 words).
F. Introduction — background, research gap, objectives, and significance.
G. Method — research design, data sources, data collection procedures, analysis techniques.
H. Results and Discussion — present findings with clear analysis; link with previous studies.
I. Conclusion — summarize the answers to the research objectives; add recommendations if necessary.
J. References — formatted in APA 6th Edition.

3. Format & Technical Notes (see template for details)

  • Use the official journal template (MS Word/RTF).
  • Manuscript length: 10–15 pages.
  • Line spacing: 1.5; fonts follow the template (Cambria for Latin script; Sakkal Majalla for Arabic if needed).
  • Save and upload in the required format (RTF/DOCX).

4. Abstract & Keywords

  • Abstract must be written in English and Indonesian.
  • Each abstract: 150–250 words.
  • Abstracts should be self-contained (no citations) and clearly describe the study’s purpose, methods, and findings.
  • Keywords: 3–5 words, specific and relevant.

5. Tables, Figures & Captions

  • Tables: numbered consecutively, title above the table, sources below. Use bold for category headers.
  • Figures: numbered consecutively, title below the figure, centered alignment, sources cited.
  • All illustrations must be referred to in the text and provided in high-quality format.

6. Citation & References

  • Citation style: APA 6th Edition (authors are encouraged to use Mendeley/Zotero/EndNote).
  • Minimum of 15 references.
  • All in-text citations must appear in the reference list, and vice versa.
  • Include DOI for journal articles whenever available.
  • Avoid excessive self-citation and reliance on a single source.

7. Plagiarism & Publication Ethics

  • The manuscript must be free from plagiarism. Authors are strongly advised to check their work with plagiarism detection software. Similarity index should not exceed 15% (excluding references).
  • All cited materials must be properly acknowledged. If copyrighted materials (figures/tables) are used, authors must obtain written permission.
