Peer Review Process
JIM employs a double-blind peer review process, ensuring that the identities of both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the review process.
All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening to assess their suitability for the journal's scope, scientific quality, originality, compliance with the journal's formatting requirements, and adherence to ethical standards. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be rejected without external peer review.
Manuscripts that successfully pass the initial screening are evaluated by at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise in the subject area. Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the Editor makes the final decision regarding acceptance, revision, or rejection of the manuscript.
Peer Review Workflow:
- Manuscript submission.
- Initial editorial screening.
- Double-blind peer review.
- Editorial decision.
- Author revision (if required).
- Final decision and publication.
Publication Frequency
This journal is published twice a year, with issues released in March and September. Articles are published collectively as part of each scheduled issue after completing the editorial and peer-review process.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Publication Ethics Statement
This journal is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and adheres to the principles and guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), the Declaration of Helsinki, and the Council for International Organizations of Medical Sciences (CIOMS).
All parties involved in the publication process—including editors, reviewers, authors, and the publisher—are expected to uphold the highest ethical standards and maintain honesty, integrity, and transparency throughout the publication process.
Editorial Responsibilities
Editors are responsible for making publication decisions based on the scientific quality, originality, relevance, and ethical integrity of submitted manuscripts. Manuscripts are evaluated fairly, objectively, and without discrimination based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy. Editors must ensure the confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts and any related communications throughout the editorial process.
Editors are also required to disclose and appropriately manage any actual or potential conflicts of interest. Allegations of research or publication misconduct, including plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, duplicate publication, and unethical research practices, will be handled in accordance with the **COPE Core Practices** and established editorial procedures.
Reviewer Responsibilities
Reviewers are expected to provide objective, constructive, and timely evaluations of submitted manuscripts to support editorial decision-making and assist authors in improving their work. All manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents and must not be shared or discussed with unauthorized individuals.
Reviewers should disclose any conflicts of interest that could influence their assessment and decline review assignments when such conflicts exist. They are also expected to report any concerns regarding plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, redundant publication, or any other suspected breaches of publication ethics.
Author Responsibilities
Authors must submit original manuscripts that have not been previously published and are not under consideration for publication elsewhere. All sources of information must be appropriately cited, and plagiarism, self-plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, image manipulation, and redundant or duplicate publication are strictly prohibited.
Research involving human participants must be conducted in accordance with the ethical principles of the **Declaration of Helsinki** and approved by an appropriate institutional ethics committee or institutional review board. Studies involving animals must comply with applicable institutional, national, and international guidelines for the ethical care and use of laboratory animals. Authors are responsible for obtaining informed consent whenever required and for protecting the privacy, dignity, and confidentiality of all research participants.
All listed authors must meet the authorship criteria recommended by the **International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE)**. Each author should have made a substantial intellectual contribution to the work and must approve the final version of the manuscript prior to submission. Authors are also required to disclose any financial, personal, institutional, or other conflicts of interest that could influence the conduct, interpretation, or reporting of the research.
Publisher Responsibilities
The publisher supports editorial independence and is committed to ensuring that all published content complies with internationally recognized standards of ethical publishing. Editorial decisions are made independently by the editorial team without interference from the publisher. When allegations of publication misconduct arise, the publisher will cooperate with the editors to ensure that investigations are conducted fairly, transparently, and in accordance with established ethical guidelines.
Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) Policy
JIM recognizes the transformative role of **Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI)** technologies in research and scholarly publishing. GenAI tools may provide valuable assistance in improving the efficiency, clarity, readability, and accessibility of scientific writing. However, their use must always be guided by the principles of transparency, academic integrity, accountability, and ethical responsibility.
Authors submitting manuscripts to JIM are expected to disclose any use of GenAI technologies during the preparation of their manuscripts, including—but not limited to—draft generation, language editing, data analysis, image generation, code generation, or other forms of content creation. Such disclosure promotes transparency and enables the journal to maintain the integrity of its peer-review process.
While GenAI may assist in improving the presentation of a manuscript, it cannot be listed as an author because it cannot assume responsibility for the accuracy, originality, integrity, or accountability of scholarly work. The intellectual content, interpretation of findings, conclusions, and all statements presented in the manuscript remain the sole responsibility of the human authors.
JIM reserves the right to evaluate the appropriateness of GenAI use in each submission in accordance with prevailing ethical standards, international publishing guidelines, and emerging best practices. The journal will continue to monitor developments in GenAI technologies and periodically update its editorial policies to uphold the highest standards of scholarly publishing in the rapidly evolving digital era.

This journal publishes all articles under the following license: Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 Internasional License (CC BY-SA 4.0)
Plagiarism Policy
This journal accepts only original manuscripts that have not been previously published and are not under consideration for publication elsewhere. All submitted manuscripts will be screened for plagiarism using Turnitin before proceeding to the peer-review process. Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding 20% may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected at the discretion of the Editor.
