Encep Syarifuddin, Rijal Firdaos, Aan Ansori

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Islamic education management in improving the quality of learning in the Department of Islamic Education Management (MPI) at UIN SMH Banten. Using a qualitative approach with SWOT analysis, the research explores various strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats affecting the implementation of education management in the department. SWOT analysis is employed to thoroughly examine internal and external factors that contribute to the effectiveness of Islamic education management. The strengths identified include a curriculum grounded in Islamic values and the application of Islamic leadership, which significantly contributes to the development of students' character and academic competencies. However, weaknesses such as limited human resources, inadequate facilities, and a lack of continuous evaluation may hinder improvements in learning quality. On the opportunity side, the study highlights support from national education policies, increased societal demand for graduates with Islamic morals, and the utilization of technology for innovative learning methods. Nonetheless, the MPI department faces threats such as competition with other educational institutions, changes in educational policies, and socio-political issues that may affect management effectiveness. The findings of this study are expected to provide strategic recommendations for the MPI Department to enhance Islamic education management. By understanding these factors, it is hoped that the department can develop more effective strategies to improve the quality of learning and address existing challenges effectively.
