Author Guidelines

To ensure the quality and consistency of published articles, authors are required to follow the guidelines below. Submissions that fail to adhere to these requirements may be returned for revision prior to review. All submissions must comply with the journal’s Publication Ethics.

General Requirements
All manuscripts must present a meaningful contribution to the mathematical sciences, supported by sound methodology and clear exposition. The paper must be written in Standard Academic English or Bahasa Indonesia, structured logically, and readable for a wide academic audience. Manuscripts should ideally be 10–16 pages in length (including figures and tables) and must adhere to the official Jurnal Riset Mahasiswa Matematika (JRMM) LaTeX template.

Manuscript Preparation
Manuscripts must be prepared using the official LaTeX class file jrmm.cls. The manuscript structure should follow this order: Title, Author Information, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, Author Contribution Statement, Declarations, and References. Ensure consistency in formatting, citation style, figure placement, and mathematical notation throughout the document. Default font size is 11pt with a single‑column layout.

Title and Author Information
The title should be concise and informative, not exceeding 15 words, and should avoid abbreviations or mathematical symbols. Authors’ full names, institutional affiliations, and email addresses must be provided, with the corresponding author indicated using an asterisk (*) following the template.

Abstract and Keywords
Provide an abstract of no more than 200 words summarizing the background, objective, method, key results, and significance. The abstract is written as a single paragraph and should not include citations, figures, or undefined abbreviations. Keywords consist of three to five terms or phrases, arranged in alphabetical order, and should not repeat words already used in the title.

Introduction
The introduction provides sufficient background, identifies relevant literature, states the research gap, explains the objectives, and highlights the novelty or significance of the work. A brief roadmap of the paper’s structure may be included. Recommended length: 750–1,000 words.

Methods
Describe the study design, data sources, modeling or analytical techniques, and evaluation procedures. Define all variables and equations clearly, specify software or computational tools used, and justify methodological choices to enable reproducibility with comparable resources. Typical length: 500–700 words.

Results and Discussion
Present results clearly and objectively, supported by tables, figures, or graphs as needed. Interpret findings relative to the objectives and compare with existing studies where relevant. Explain anomalies, discuss limitations, and highlight theoretical or practical implications. Avoid repeating content already shown in visuals.

Conclusion
Restate the main research problem, summarize the core findings, and emphasize their impact or significance. Briefly mention limitations or future directions if necessary. Do not introduce new data or analysis. Typical length: 80–150 words.

Authorship Contribution
Provide a CRediT authorship statement specifying each contributor’s roles (e.g., Conceptualization, Data Curation, Methodology, Writing – Original Draft, Supervision, etc.) to ensure transparency.

Declarations
Authors must disclose any use of AI‑assisted tools during manuscript preparation (e.g., language polishing, code generation, figure creation). Example statement:
“The authors used [Tool Name, Version] for [purpose] during manuscript preparation; the authors take full responsibility for the content.”
Declare potential conflicts of interest (or state: “The authors declare no competing interests.”). Funding sources and acknowledgments must be provided. Include a data availability statement indicating how and where supporting data can be accessed (or the reason for restrictions).

References
All references must follow the IEEE citation style and be managed using BibTeX. Cite at least 15 references, with a minimum of 80% from peer‑reviewed journals. Prioritize literature from the last five years. Each in‑text citation must match an entry in the reference list. Unpublished data and personal communications are not accepted as references.

Figures and Tables
Supply figures in PDF (preferred for vector graphics), PNG, or JPG formats. The minimum recommended resolution is 300 dpi. Ensure text within figures (axis labels, legends) is legible and comparable in size to the main text. Number and cite all figures and tables in the manuscript.

File Submission Format
Submit a compressed ZIP file containing all necessary LaTeX source files: the main .tex file, bibliography file (.bib), figures, and any required class or style files. Microsoft Word files are not accepted. The source must compile without errors on a standard LaTeX installation. Recommended ZIP naming convention: JRMM_FirstAuthor_ShortTitle.zip. Non‑compliant submissions may be delayed or returned for correction.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

 1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it currently under consideration by another journal. If this is not the case, a clear explanation must be provided in the Comments to the Editor.

 2. The submission is prepared using the official JRMM LaTeX template and submitted as a ZIP archive containing the
.tex
file, bibliography
.bib
file, figures, and any necessary class/style files. Submissions in Microsoft Word format are not accepted.

 3. All references are properly cited and formatted according to the IEEE style, and URLs or DOIs are included for all accessible online sources.

 4. The manuscript uses 11-point font, single-column layout, and follows the formatting conventions as specified in the Author Guidelines. All figures and tables are clearly labeled and placed close to their first reference within the text (not grouped at the end).

 5. The manuscript adheres to the structure and stylistic conventions outlined in the Author Guidelines, including sections for abstract, introduction, methods, results and discussion, conclusion, authorship contribution, declarations, and references.

 6. If the manuscript is submitted to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the authors have removed all identifying information from the manuscript and files to ensure a double-blind review process, as described in the Ensuring a Blind Review section.
