Focus and Scope

Lugawiyyat publishes scholarly articles that focus on various aspects of Arabic language teaching and learning. The journal welcomes contributions from researchers, educators, and practitioners in the following areas:

  • Teaching and learning Arabic
  • Arabic teaching and learning strategies
  • Arabic learning media
  • Arabic teaching and learning technology
  • Development of Arabic learning materials
  • Evaluation of Arabic teaching and learning
  • Arabic and translation for teaching and learning

The journal prioritizes original research, literature reviews, and innovative approaches that contribute to the advancement of Arabic language education in diverse educational contexts.

Peer Review Process

All articles submitted to Lugawiyyat: Journal of Arabic Teaching undergo a double-blind peer review process. Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two reviewers who are experts in the relevant field and have published academic work within the last three years. Reviewers are given a maximum of two weeks to complete the evaluation.

Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision regarding the acceptance or rejection of the manuscript. Authors are fully responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the content and references in their published articles

 

Publication Frequency

This journal is published twice a year, in May and November.

 

Archiving

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) system to ensure a secure and permanent archive. Through this system, participating libraries can create distributed archives of the journal, which help ensure preservation and restoration in the event of data loss.
