Focus and Scope

MATICS: Jurnal Ilmu Komputer dan Teknologi Informasi (Journal of Computer Science and Information Technology) is a scientific publication for widespread research and criticism topics in Computer Science and Information Technology. MATICS has been published twice a year in March and September since March 2007 by the Department of Informatics Engineering, Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, Indonesia. One volume of MATICS is published in the calendar twice a year.

Peer Review Process

MATICS: Jurnal Ilmu Komputer dan Teknologi Informasi (Journal of Computer Science and Information Technology) accepts the submission of articles on any topic within the field of Computer Science and Information Technology. Submitted articles are evaluated on the basis of their contribution to the knowledge and practice of Computer Science and on methodology, theoretical and empirical contribution, and style. Submitted articles will, in general, be reviewed by two external reviewers chosen for their knowledge in specific sub-areas of Computer Science and Information Technology. To be published in this Journal, a paper should meet the general criteria:

  • Provides strong evidence for its conclusions.
  • It should be a research result or literature study in the field.
  • Ideally, interesting to researchers in Computer Science, Information Technology and other related disciplines.

The paper submitted in the Journal must be original, unpublished work and not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Every article submitted will be scanned for plagiarism before it is sent to the reviewer.

To be acceptable, a paper should represent an advance in understanding likely to influence thinking in the field. There should be a discernible reason why the work deserves the visibility of publication in a MATICS journal rather than the best specialist journals.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

All articles published Open Access will be immediately and permanently free for everyone to read and download.  We are continuously working with our author communities to select the best choice of license options, currently being defined for this journal as follows:

    • Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International(CC-BY-NC-SA 4.0)

 

Archiving

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal
