Web-Based International Collaboration Management System for Higher Education

I Komang Sugiartha

Abstract

International partnerships illustrate the commitment of higher education institutions to elevate their standing on the global scale. However, many university stakeholders faced challenges in accessing information on partnership opportunities due to the fragmented nature of information reporting. This study created an International Collaboration Management Information System to assist higher education institutions in reporting and managing information about international partnerships. The Waterfall model was selected for the Software Development Life Cycle, with distinct phases for requirement gathering, system design, execution, verification, and distribution. The implementation for the application was performed using Laravel, in conjunction with Model-View-Controller design patterns and MySQL as the data storage system. The developed application successfully demonstrates improved accessibility, transparency, and efficiency of reporting and managing information about international partnerships in higher education. Furthermore, the management of collaboration data was facilitated for administrators and staff, while visitors could easily discover partnerships.
