Author Guidelines
Author Guidelines
SAINTIS: Science, Integration, and Islamic Systems is a mathematics journal focusing on mathematical methods applied to Islamic systems. All submitted manuscripts must demonstrate both a clear mathematical contribution and a clear application to an Islamic system.
Manuscripts submitted to SAINTIS must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by any other journal. The manuscript should be written in clear academic English and prepared according to the journal template.
Manuscript Scope Requirement
Every manuscript must satisfy both of the following requirements:
- It presents a clear mathematical contribution, such as a model, method, analysis, computation, optimization, simulation, statistical model, numerical method, or data-driven mathematical framework.
- It applies that mathematical contribution to an Islamic system, institution, data source, or problem.
Manuscripts that present general mathematics without application to Islamic systems are outside the scope of SAINTIS. Manuscripts that discuss Islamic topics without mathematical methods are also outside the scope of the journal.
Manuscript Structure
Manuscripts should generally include the following sections:
- Title
- Author names and affiliations
- Abstract
- Keywords
- Introduction
- Mathematical Method, Model, or Analysis
- Application to Islamic System
- Results and Discussion
- Conclusion
- Acknowledgements, if any
- Declaration of Interest
- Data Availability Statement, if applicable
- References
Title
The title should be concise, informative, and clearly reflect both the mathematical contribution and the Islamic system application whenever possible.
Abstract
The abstract should briefly state the research problem, mathematical method, Islamic system application, main results, and contribution of the study. The abstract should be written in a single paragraph and should not contain citations.
Keywords
Authors should provide 4 to 6 keywords. Keywords should represent the mathematical method and the Islamic system application. Examples: mathematical modelling; optimization; zakat system; Islamic finance; halal supply chain; Islamic astronomy.
Application to Islamic System
The manuscript must clearly explain the Islamic system, institution, data source, or problem addressed in the study. This section should describe how the mathematical method is connected to the Islamic system being studied.
The application to Islamic systems must be substantive. Merely adding Qur'anic verses, hadith, Islamic terminology, or general religious statements without connection to the mathematical problem, model, data, analysis, or interpretation is not sufficient.
Figures, Tables, and Equations
Figures and tables must be numbered consecutively and referred to in the text. Mathematical equations should be clearly written and numbered when necessary. All symbols and variables must be defined.
References
References must be relevant, accurate, and up to date. Authors are encouraged to cite recent and relevant literature related to both the mathematical method and the Islamic system application.
SAINTIS uses a numerical citation style. Citations should be numbered in square brackets according to their order of appearance in the text, for example [1], [2], or [3,4].

Appropriate supplementary files may include:
- Datasets
- Source codes or algorithms
- Simulation files
- Mathematical derivations or extended proofs
- Research instruments
- Additional tables or figures
- Documentation related to Islamic system data or case studies
Initial Editorial Screening
All manuscripts are screened by the editorial team before peer review. Manuscripts that do not demonstrate both a mathematical contribution and an application to an Islamic system may be rejected during the initial editorial screening.
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
The submission has not been previously published and is not under consideration by another journal.
The manuscript presents a clear mathematical contribution, such as a model, method, analysis, computation, optimization, simulation, statistical model, numerical method, or data-driven mathematical framework.
The manuscript applies the mathematical contribution to an Islamic system, institution, data source, or problem.
The connection between the mathematical method and the Islamic system application is clearly explained in the manuscript.
The manuscript follows the SAINTIS author guidelines and has been prepared using the journal template.
The manuscript includes the required sections, including Introduction, Mathematical Method/Model/Analysis, Application to Islamic System, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, and References.
All references are complete, accurate, relevant, and cited in the text using the journal's numerical citation style.
All figures, tables, equations, datasets, and supplementary materials are properly cited, numbered, and described.
The manuscript includes a declaration of interest statement and a data availability statement where applicable.
The manuscript has been checked for plagiarism, language clarity, formatting consistency, and removal of author identity from the manuscript file for double-blind review.
