Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.

 

Author Guidelines

IQTISHODUNA a refereed, open access journal that disseminates original research, theory, and best practice in open and distributed learning worldwide. IQTISHODUNA available free-of-charge to anyone who accesses to the Internet, and there are no article submission or access charges for publication in this open journal. The received articles in this Journal will be reviewed by some expert in Economics and Islamic business fields from several universities.

 

All articles must consist of original, unpublished work, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere. The paper should include a minimum of 7 pages and maximum 20 pages of text unless there is an attachment, maximum tolerance of 20 pages with 1.15 spaced, and justify. The text should be sent as an email attachment in MS Word format, including all original figures and tables, to iqtishoduna@uin-malang.ac.id. The article can also be submitted to our Online Journal System at http://ejournal.uin-malang.ac.id/index.php/ekonomi/index.  Alternatively, the figures and tables can be put all together in one other email attachment that accompanies the text file.

 

If the content and format of the submitted article are seen as appropriate by the editors, the paper will then be sent out for 'blind review' by two independent referees. Revisions may be required in the light of referees' comments before a decision is made to accept or reject the article.

1. General Author Guidelines 
All manuscripts must be submitted to IQTISHODUNA  Editorial Office by Online Submission at  E-Journal portal address: http://ejournal.uin-malang.ac.id/index.php/ekonomi/index. Where the author registers as Author and/or offered as Reviewer by online. If authors have any problems with the online submission, please contact Editorial Office at the following email: iqtishoduna@uin-malang.ac.id

3. Reviewing Papers
If the content and format of the submitted article are seen as appropriate by the editors, the article will then be sent out for 'blind review' by two independent referees. Revisions may be required in the light of referees' comments before a decision is made to accept or reject the paper.

4. Revision of Papers All paper sent back to the authors for revision should be returned to the editor without delay. Revised articles can be sent to the editorial office through the Online Submission Interface. The revised manuscripts returned later than three months will be considered as new submissions.

6. Guideline for Online Submission An author should first register as Author and/or is offered as Reviewer through the following address: http://ejournal.uin-malang.ac.id/index.php/ekonomi/about/submissions#onlineSubmissions. The author should fulfill the form as detail as possible where the star marked form must be entered. After all form textbox was filled, Author clicks on "Register" button to proceed the registration. Therefore, the Author is brought to an online author submission interface where Author should click on "New Submission." In the Start, a New Submission section, click on "’Click Here’: to go to step one of the five-step submission process." The following are five steps in the online submission process:

  1. Step 1 - Starting the Submission: Select the appropriate section of the journal, i.e., Original Research Articles, Review Article, or Short Communication. Thus, the author must check-mark on the submission checklists. The author may type or copy-paste Covering Letter in Letter to Editor.
  2. Step 2 – Uploading the Submission: To upload a paper to this journal, click Browse on the Upload submission file item and choose the manuscript document file (.doc/.docx) to be submitted, then click "Upload" button until the file has been uploaded. 
  3. Step 3 – Entering Submission’s Metadata: In this step, detail authors metadata should be entered, including the marked corresponding author. After that, paper title and abstract must be uploaded by copying the text and paste in the textbox, including keywords.
  4. Step 4 – Uploading Supplementary Files: Supplementary file should be uploaded, including Covering/Submission Letter. Therefore, click on the Browse button, choose the files, and then click on the Upload button.
  5. Step 5 – Confirming the Submission:  Author should final check the uploaded manuscript documents in this step. To submit the paper to Iqtishoduna, click Finish Submission button after the documents are true. The corresponding author or the primary contact will receive an acknowledgment by email and will be able to view the submission's progress through the editorial process by logging in to the journal web address site.

After this submission, Authors who submit the paper will get a confirmation email about the submission. Therefore, Authors can track their submission status at any time by logging in to the online submission interface. Submission tracking includes the status of the manuscript review and editorial process.

7. Manuscript Preparation Guidelines

7.1.   The manuscripts represent academic research in Islamic economic studies, Business Management, Marketing Management, Finance Management, Strategic Management, Operation Management, Human Resource Management, E-business, Knowledge Management, Management Accounting, Management Control System, Management Information System, International Business, Economics, Business Economics, Business Ethics and Sustainable, and Entrepreneurship.

7.2.   Structure of the manuscripts

  1. Title. The title should be brief, short, clear, and informative which reflect the article content. The length of the title maximum of 15 words.
  2. Author’s names and institutions. The author’s names should be accompanied by the author’s institutions and email addresses, without any academic titles and/or job title.
  3. Abstract and keywords. The abstract should be less than 200 words. The abstract contains clear statement of the background of the study, the purpose of the study, method, result, and implication, with no references cited. The keywords should be 2 to 5 phrases.
  4. Introduction. This section explains the background of the study and the aims of the manuscripts. It should be written without numbers and/or pointers. The author should state the novelty or contribution of this research. Authors should provide an adequate background.
  5. Literature Review. Authors should provide very short literature survey in order to record the existing solutions/method, to show which is the best of previous researches, to show the main limitation of the previous researches, to show what do you hope to achieve (to solve the limitation). Avoid a detailed literature survey or a summary of the results. In this subchapter, the research hypothesis model can be added.
  6. Research Methodology. This section describes the tools of analysis along with the data and their sources.
  7. Research Result. This section explains the results of the study. Data should be presented in Tables or Figures when feasible. There should be no duplication of data in Tables and Figures. The discussion should be consistent and should interpret the results clearly and concisely, and their significance. It also should be supported to suitable literature.
  8. Discussion. The discussion should show relevance between the result and the field of investigation and/or hypotheses. The discussion also should compare the result with previous research.
  9. Conclusions. This section concludes and provides policy implications, if any, of the study.
  10. References. This section lists only the papers, books, or other types of publications referred to in the manuscript. References should be the last 10-year publication with a minimum of 60% of the journal. References should be listed alphabetically by the author(s) last name(s) and the year of publication. We suggest authors to use reference management software like Mendeley, to prepare citations and the list of references. The bibliographical style uses American Psychological Association (APA) manual style.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in Microsoft Word, RTF, or Word Perfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
