Peer Review Policy
Publication of articles in Journal of Indonesian Psychological Science dependent solely on scientific validity and coherence as judged by our editors and/or peer reviewers, who will also assess whether the writing is comprehensible and whether the work represents a useful contribution to the field. Journal of Indonesian Psychological Science acknowledged the effort and suggestions made by its reviewers. All submitted manuscripts are subject to a double-blind review process, through an online system.
Peer review procedures
- The corresponding author submits the manuscript through Journal of Indonesian Psychological Science online system
- The Journal of Indonesian Psychological Science Editor Board will identify the quality of manuscript and the possibility of cases of scientific misconduct including authorship, ownership, and plagiarism.
- The Editor Board notifies the submissions and informs the authors if the papers are suitable for the journals. Therefore, the manuscript will be sent to two reviewers for reviewing process.
- All of the contributions of the Journal of Indonesian Psychological Science are subject to a double-blind peer-review, which means that neither the author(s) nor the reviewers know the identity of the other.
- At least two reviewers review every submitted paper. The review process is an online process and contains a clear reviewer statements concerning paper's publishing approval or its rejection.
- In case of minor revisions, the article is sent to the author(s) together with a reviewers opinions. The authors are asked to respond to the reviewer comments and make the appropriate adjustments in the text. Then, the authors send back the corrected version.
- The Editorial Board makes the final decision on publication.
Review Outcomes
Utilizing feedback from the peer review process, the Editor will make a final publication decision. Decisions categories include:
- Reject - Rejected manuscripts will not be published and authors will not have the opportunity to resubmit a revised version of the manuscript to Journal of Indonesian Psychological Science.
- Resubmit for Review– The submission needs to be re-worked, but with significant changes, it may be accepted. However, it will require a second round of review.
- Accept with Revisions - Manuscripts receiving an accept-pending-revisions decision will be published in Journal of Indonesian Psychological Science under the condition that minor/major modifications are made. Revisions will be reviewed by an editor to ensure necessary updates are made before publication.
- Accept - Accepted manuscripts will be published in the current form with no further modifications required.
Instructions for Revised Submissions
- Please provide a copy of the revised text with changes marked in the text using either tracking changes or highlighting.
- In your written response to the reviewers’ comments, give the page number(s), paragraph(s), and/or line number(s) where each revision was made
- Respond to each referee’s comments, indicating precisely the changes made in response to the critiques. Also, give reasons for suggested changes that were not implemented, and identify any additional changes that were made
- Revisions not received within 1 month will be administratively withdrawn. For further consideration, the manuscript must be resubmitted. At the editors’ discretion, and in cases where substantial new data are required, extensions may be granted for revisions. In such cases, every effort will be made to retain the original reviewers
