MUCH. KOIRI is a senior lecturer in literary and cultural studies at the English Department, Faculty of Languages and Arts, Universitas Negeri Surabaya. He is also a book writer and a trainer for literacy and writing workshops. He obtained his B.A in ELT at Universitas Negeri Surabaya; his M.A in Social Sciences at Universitas Airlangga Surabaya—now taking a doctorate program at Universitas Negeri Surabaya. He also took part in International Writing Program at the University of Iowa (USA, 1993), and American Studies in Chinese University of Hong Kong (1996). His research interests are Literature, Cultural Studies, and New Literacy Studies. He can be reached at muchkoiri@unesa.ac.id.
