Withdrawal Policy
Authors are expected to submit manuscripts responsibly and to follow the editorial and peer-review process in good faith. Withdrawal requests must be submitted formally to the editorial office and must include a clear reason.
Before Peer Review
Authors may request withdrawal before the manuscript enters the peer-review process by emailing the editorial office. The request should include the manuscript title, author names, and the reason for withdrawal.
After Peer Review Has Begun
Withdrawal after peer review has begun is strongly discouraged because reviewers and editors have already committed time and expertise to the evaluation process. Such requests will be considered only when a valid and well-justified reason is provided, such as a serious authorship dispute, a significant error discovered by the authors, or other exceptional circumstances.
After Acceptance
Withdrawal after acceptance is considered a serious matter and will be approved only under exceptional circumstances. Authors must provide a clear written explanation, and the final decision rests with the Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Board.
No Response from Authors
If authors fail to respond to editorial communications for more than 30 days, the editorial office may send a final reminder. If no response is received after the reminder, the manuscript may be administratively withdrawn from the editorial process.
Duplicate Submission or Misconduct
If a withdrawal request is related to duplicate submission, plagiarism, data manipulation, authorship misconduct, or another ethical concern, the manuscript may be rejected and the case may be handled in accordance with the journal's publication ethics policy and COPE guidance. The journal may record the case internally, notify the authors' institution when appropriate, and apply a temporary restriction on future submissions from the responsible author(s) after editorial review.
Administrative Withdrawal
The Editor-in-Chief or Editorial Board may withdraw a manuscript from the editorial process if serious issues are discovered, including but not limited to authorship disputes, ethical violations, duplicate submission, or irreparable flaws in the manuscript.
No Withdrawal Charges
CAUCHY does not charge authors for withdrawal requests. Editorial actions related to irresponsible withdrawal, duplicate submission, or misconduct are handled through editorial and publication ethics procedures.
How to Request Withdrawal
Authors must send a withdrawal request to cauchy@uin-malang.ac.id with the email subject: Withdrawal Request - [Manuscript Title].
