Journal History

Since its initial publication in 2016, Abjadia has been directed toward becoming an accredited and internationally reputable scholarly journal in the field of education. Accordingly, it is known as the Abjadia: International Journal of Education. This vision began to materialize in early 2019 when Abjadia received national accreditation and was immediately ranked at Sinta-4. One year later, in 2020, its reputation was further strengthened by achieving the Sinta-3 ranking. This has been a commendable journey, even though, in comparison, some journals have taken accelerated paths to reach the highest tiers.

Abjadia: International Journal of Education has established collaborations with various professional bodies and educational institutions, both within and beyond the State Islamic University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, Indonesia, to publish high-quality scholarly articles. It has also worked with editors and reviewers from diverse academic and professional backgrounds to ensure the production of reputable and internationally recognized academic publications.

Currently, following its reaccreditation in 2025, and based on the Decree of the Director General of Research and Development, Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia No. 10/C/C3/DT.05.00/2025, Abjadia: International Journal of Education retains its Sinta-3 ranking through Volume 13, Issue 1, in 2028.
