Review Guidelines for Abjadia: International Journal of Education



Abjadia: International Journal of Education is committed to maintaining high standards of scholarly publishing. Peer review is crucial to ensuring the quality and credibility of the articles published in our journal. Reviewers play a significant role in evaluating the submissions and providing constructive feedback to authors. This document outlines the review guidelines for reviewers of Abjadia.


Reviewer Responsibilities:

  1. Confidentiality: Reviewers must treat all submitted manuscripts as confidential documents. Reviewers should not discuss, share, or use the information from the manuscripts for personal gain.
  2. Objectivity: Reviewers should provide unbiased and constructive feedback based solely on the content and quality of the manuscript. Personal biases or conflicts of interest should not influence the review process. 
  3. Timeliness: Reviewers are expected to complete their reviews within the stipulated timeframe. If a reviewer cannot meet the deadline, they should inform the editorial team promptly.
  4. Constructive Feedback: Reviewers should provide authors with clear, well-structured, and detailed feedback. Feedback should focus on strengths, weaknesses, and suggestions for improvement.


Review Criteria:

Reviewers should assess the manuscript based on the following criteria:

  1. Originality and Significance: Evaluate the novelty and relevance of the research topic. Assess whether the research contributes meaningfully to the existing body of knowledge.
  2. Methodology: Examine the appropriateness and rigor of the research methodology. Consider whether the methods are well-designed and suitable for addressing the research questions.
  3. Results and Interpretation: Evaluate the presentation of results and their interpretation. Assess the clarity of data representation and the soundness of conclusions drawn.
  4. Clarity and Structure: Assess the clarity and coherence of the manuscript's structure. Consider whether the paper is well-organized and if the writing is clear and understandable.
  5. References: Check the accuracy and appropriateness of citations and references. Ensure that the manuscript properly acknowledges relevant prior work.


Confidentiality and Anonymity:

Reviewers' identities are kept confidential throughout the review process. Authors are not informed of the reviewers' identities, and vice versa.


Reviewer Recommendations:

Based on the assessment, reviewers should recommend one of the following decisions:

  • Accept
  • Minor Revisions
  • Major Revisions
  • Reject
