Assoc., Prof., Dr., Popoola Kareem Hamed holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Al- Azhar University Cairo Egypt, a Master’s Degree and PhD in Curriculum and Instruction from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and Post-Doctorate Fellowship
(PDF) in Curriculum and Instruction from IIUM. His PhD explored innovative ways of
integrating instructional technology into teaching by allowing learners to lead the learning
using flipped classroom method. More recently, he has been experimenting with making
learning more engaging and autonomous by adapting flipped classroom method to B3L and
LLFCM. My current research interests are in the field of Education (curriculum and
instruction) including instructional strategies, pedagogy /andragogy and students’ self-
Leadership to make positive changes in the global community and Muslim Ummah at large
